Opposition Matters follows in the footsteps of its sister events, Search Matters and Examination Matters, which over the years have become key events for patent searchers and attorneys alike. Have you ever wondered what the day-to-day work of an examiner in opposition involves? This will be your opportunity to find out – direct from our examiners. And with senior European patent attorneys co-presenting alongside EPO examiners, you will get to hear about the best practices they have derived from years of opposition experience. We will also be discussing this year’s hot topics, namely the introduction of inter partes oral proceedings by videoconference and the future possibility of hearing witnesses by the same means.

While the breakout sessions can accommodate only a limited number of participants, all attendees can follow and benefit from the rest of the presentations, as well as post questions online via a chat function.
