agorateka – The European online content portal is presented at the occasion of World IP Day 2022 under the title ‘Intellectual property, counterfeiting and product safety – some tools at the service of companies and users’ at an event that will take place at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
The EU Observatory on Infringements of IPR will be presenting the agorateka initiative during the session ‘Leading consumers to legal digital content: the agorateka portal’.
The next day, as part of a Roadshow activities, a practical and technical session addressed to members of the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) of the Ministry of the Economy and the Institute of Intellectual Property of Luxembourg (IPIL), the Observatory’s agorateka team will give some background on the project and inform about the state of play, before taking attendees through the website’s most useful features and the portal’s future uses.
The experience of Latvia and how the country successfully joined the project as a pilot country, will be shared.
The roadshow’s aim is to meet stakeholders face-to-face in countries that have not yet joined agorateka, in order to guide them in setting up their own national portals where their citizens can easily find legal content.
This is the first step towards implementing the Luxembourgish national portal, that will start the process of Luxembourg joining the agorateka network as soon as possible. The next meeting of the agorateka network will take place on 11 May in Alicante.
